Educational Concepts
Comparing our approaches as practicioners in the educational field, we
realized that we work with very different methods. Thus, we felt the need
to analyze the underlying educational concepts and theories we work with.
One interesting observation was that "success" and "failure"
can mean very different things.
The results of our work are often not very clear-cut and involve a number
of dilemmas. One dilemma we took up was how to deal with what we named
"identity borders". Naturally, such cultural/gender/age etc.
borders exist in every group.Shoud we do away with them and try to integrate
our target groups and societies as much as possible for the sake of a
common goal? Or should we keep them up and respect them as an expression
of diversity?
