5th Annual Conference

International Network - Education for Democracy, Human Rights and Tolerance

From the14th.-15th. of May 2003 the Network met for its fifth conference. It
took place on the premises of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. The conference discussed the results of the network publication Tolerance
Matters - International Educational Approaches with Prof. Jagdish S. Gundara, Head of the International Centre for Intercultural Studies at the University of London, and Elena Ippoliti, representative of the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights. In several presentations Network members showed how they connect their educational work with a promotion of political participation.
