Tanya Odom

Tanya Odom is an experienced and highly regarded national and international facilitator, trainer, teacher and speaker. She has conducted hundreds of workshops around the United States and Europe. Her areas of interest and knowledge include such topics as Diversity, Conflict Resolution, Leadership and Team Building, Multicultural Education, and Volunteer Motivation.

Tanya Odom is a consultant in the Global Diversity Practice at Towers Perrin. At Towers Perrin, Ms. Odom works with corporations around the country, where she leads comprehensive focus groups and facilitates one and two day diversity trainings. These trainings range from basic awareness sessions to hands on skill building and managing difficult conversations workshops. In addition to trainings, Ms. Odom conducts organizational assessments, and works with organizations on such issues as Teambuilding, Work/Life Balance and Attracting and Retaining the Top Talent.

She is also a national diversity trainer with the Anti-Defamation LeagueÄs A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute. In her role as facilitator for the A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute, she has facilitated workshops for community groups, corporations, administrators, parents, and students all over the country.

Ms. Odom has traveled extensively and has both lived and worked abroad. In Mexico and the Dominican Republic, she worked as a community development assistant and health advocate. She assisted in the implementation of international community development projects. In addition, for the last three years, Ms. Odom has been very involved in the European UnionÄs recent projects focusing on bias, discrimination and bigotry. In this capacity she has facilitated diversity workshops for adults and youth in 7- different European countries.

Ms. Odom graduated from Vassar College in 1992 and received her B.A. in Anthropology/Sociology with a correlate sequence in Women's Studies and has a Masters degree in Education from Harvard University.
