Studied History and German Literature and Philosophy at the Free University Berlin; 1989 Magister Artium M.A.; 1989-1991 PhD-Stipendium from the Land Berlin; 1990 as a fellow of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)in Washington D.C.; 1993 Dr. phil. at the Free University Berlin; from 1991-1999 he was the Director of the Researchgroup Youth and Europe at the C.A.P, in 1993 he was guest Professor at the Hebrew-University, Jerusalem.

Political adviser to the Ministry of Family, Seniors, Women and Youth of the Federal Republic of Germany and of several Foundations and Ministry in Germany, Europe, Middle East, USA and Asia.

Conflict management trainer and mediator.

Several publications, articles and books on European Integration, Attitudes of the younger Generation toward Europe, Xenophobia, Nationalism and Racism; History of Germany and Europe; Education for Tolerance and Democracy.
