The Internet Centre Anti Racism Europe
The Internet has often been identified as one of the new grounds for racism.
ICARE questions this view by admitting the internet can be a way of spreading
racism, but also of promoting antiracism. The Centre offers a portal to
anti-racism on internet which includes a comprehensive database of addresses
of organisations working against intolerance in Europe. The section "Crosspoint"
currently links over 1500 organisations working in the field of anti-racism,
human rights, disability resources etc. in 108 countries around the world.
The news section contains selected news items, international news sources
and a Calender of Internationalism. Over the bulletin board you can find
partners for new projects. Although the presentation is sometimes questionable
(Haider is not the same phenomenon like Hitler) the ICARE offers comprehensive
and informative sources on the field of anti ¨ racism and opens up many
different possibilities for collaboration with organisations world wide.
