HRI – Human Rights Internet

Founded in 1976 in the US and now based in Canada, HRI is dedicated to the empowerment of human rights activists and organizations as well as to the education of governmental and intergovernmental agencies and other actors in the public and private sphere, on human rights issues and the role of civil society. Its very comprehensive and informative internet site serves as a portal for human rights and constitutes an on-line resource, information and documentation center for human rights actors and organizations around the world. It offers, among other things, access to databases on human rights issues, a news section, a list of publications, information on training and educational programs, conferences and other events as well as job listings in the area of human rights.
