D@dalos – Civic Education via Internet

The education server D@dalos was set up to provide teachers and multiplicators in the successor states of former Yugoslavia with teaching material for civic education and background information in their mother tongues via the internet. Developed and maintained by four teams of Political Scientists in Germany and the former Yugoslavia, the server offers materials in the Bosnian, Croatian and German language and plans to add materials in Albanian soon. The teaching material, which is created in close cooperation and according to the specific needs of teachers in the former Yugoslavia, covers the issues of human rights and democracy and is supplemented by didactical advice and internet links. On top of its function as a source of information, D@dalos aims at establishing a regional forum for people working in the field of education and has created several international school projects in the former Yugoslavia. Part of the web page, not the teaching material though, is available in English as well.
