CPN is a pluralist non-partisan network of civic educators and practitioners from the USA committed to the development of new approaches that enhance citizens roles in active public problem solving and responsible democratic deliberation. Its mission is to promote civic innovation, spread practical knowledge, and exchange the most effective tools available. The site provides resources for practical civic education, responsible community action, and democratic policy making, including manuals and guides for the organization and implementation of projects, course syllabi with direct links to assigned material, as well as a civic dictionary with many useful definitions and descriptions. The material can be printed out, photocopied, and assembled in workbooks. Original printed material and other resources can be ordered from CPNs affiliates, and previewed online: videos, manuals, audiotapes, project evaluations. CPN charges no fee for this service, and minimizes copyright barriers for all nonprofit educational uses. |
