CEPD – Centre for Education Policy Development, Evaluation and Management

The CEPD is an autonomous non-governmental organization dedicated to the development of education policies for a democratic South Africa. It was established in 1993 on the initiative of the Mass Democratic Movement and is now a member of the South African Non-Governmental Organizations Coalition (SANGOCO) and the South African National Commission of the UNESCO. It is strategically linked with university-based Education Policy Units (EPUs) and is active in diverse fields, such as research, policy analysis and program evaluation. The site offers an overview of all of CEPD’s activities, partners and projects as well as an online version of the annual report on the transformation of the South African schooling system and other related publications.
